Rooftop Films show!!!

On Saturday, June 26th we’ll be screening Gravity Was Everywhere Back Then with live narration and soundtracks by Brendan Canty (of Fugazi), Drew Henkels (of Drew & the Medicinal Pen), Missy Liu (also of the Medicinal Pen), John Swartz, Donna K and Brent Green. We just did this thing live for the first time at the Hammer Museum last week and it was Awesome! Hope to see you there.

Also, Casey Sanchez just wrote this lovely Pasatiempo article about Brent’s work, to coincide with the Site Santa Fe Biennial this year.

  1. Hello Brent,

I saw your movie this past Saturday night with Rooftop Films in New York. What a wonderful film you made. I am still trying to remember all the details in the sets you built and some of the things you said in the narration. Really inspiring stuff. It makes me want to leave this city and live on a farm in PA and stop worrying about all the wrong things that this city makes you worry about.

I sincerely hope you gain more and more recognition and support for your films. You have a unique vision.

Thanks for sharing your story with me. If you are at all interested, here is a link to my attempt at stop motion animation. The story is from a comic book by Peter Bagge called Neat Stuff and this is his character Girly Girl. Here’s a link to part one.
